"Ariana's 8th"

I haven't made any blog entry in the last three weeks. This is due to the last hectic days leading to Eid Mubarak and consequently the celebration with family and friends in the last two weeks. I did manage however, to make a birthday cake for Ariana's 8th birthday. Ariana is my daughter's friend from school and she insisted from her mum a mini birthday party for her during Ramadhan. Thus, I was commissioned to make for her a 2-tiered cake with a girl and a cat on the cake.

It took me the whole night to complete this cake as I started the make the cake after break fasting. It was a fairly simple cake to make but I wanted the cake to be perfect. I was quite happy that the cake turned out the way I wanted it to be and most of all, birthday girl, Ariana was very happy with the cake. The bottom tier of the cake was chocolate and top tier was butter vanilla.
